Studio Gwen van den Bout

‘Mother & Child’ is an ongoing art project by Gwen van den Bout. This sculpture embodies the placenta made out of glass. An organ that was created during her first pregnancy. It manifests the equal relationship between mother and child. In fact her body would have made this organ without her baby growing in her womb.
